I am so excited for Disney's new "Festival of Fantasy Parade" to debut in about a month. Today, some of the costumes for the performers of the Parade were released on the Disney Parks Blog. The Raven costume, a part of the Sleeping Beauty Float, is definitely my favorite piece. It's also one of the most intricately made: costume designers used 3D printing to create the beak, dipped it in bronze, and then topped it off with Swarovski stones in order to add to its enchanted appearance. I've been following the creation of this parade over the past year and I'm ecstatic to see it finally brought to life. It has a very Steampunk feel to it, especially with the Maleficent float.
Below are a few videos that show some of the behind the scenes work on the parade. Designing rides is truly only one aspect of the Imagineers' jobs.
